The firm of LACKFA Isolierstoff GmbH & Co, usually called "Lackfa" for short, was founded in 1945.

The LACKFA people soon noticed that there was a need for new products. Almost as soon as polyurethane raw materials came into use, LACKFA started working on this versatile chemical product group and vigorously promoting the development of two component polyurethane systems.

This resulted in high-grade products which were used all over the world. In parallel with this product group, development was already in hand on materials for creating an unbroken surface to damp solid-borne and airborne sound and for reducing condensation on metal sub-surfaces.

These efforts bore fruit. Manufacturing industry recognised the Impressum useful properties of LACKFA's products, and helped it to turn into a specialist manufacturer in the sector of sound-absorbing compounds.
